- Steward the university policy process
Reporting to University Compliance
To support institutional awareness, coordination, and appropriate escalation, units should notify University Compliance of:
- Important regulatory compliance changes or updates
- Regulatory agency reviews and accreditation body inspections
- Results of regulatory and accreditation findings
- Outcomes of external audits (state, federal, or third-party)
- Results of external regulatory inspections
When to Engage University Compliance
We encourage early and ongoing collaboration. Engage University Compliance to:
- Plan for or conduct a compliance program assessment
- Evaluate readiness for emerging regulatory requirements
- Navigate potential or actual compliance-related incidents or violations
- Identify appropriate compliance owners, partners, or stakeholders
- Coordinate engagement across units to reduce duplication and improve efficiency
- Discuss or seek guidance on any compliance-related questions or concerns
